GUNJI Takao: Measurement and Quantification Revisited
by GUNJI Takao
This paper reformulates the semantics part of our previous paper
Gunji and Hasida (1998), which is notoriously obscure and hard to
understand. Even though our arguments for the proposed analysis of
the so-called `floating quantifiers' in Japanese remain intact, the
semantics is given in a relatively straightforward representation
language called minimal recursion semantics (MRS) and thus another
utility of the MRS representation will be shown.
